​

The Project Manager role is for a Residential Interior Design & Renovation Design firm. The project manager role is responsible for the overall coordination and management of projects throughout all phases of design from start to finish, while managing multiple priorities to ensure a successful project and outcome.

We are a creative, team-oriented, family-focused interior design firm currently working from our “virtual office”, specializing in dynamic interiors for single family homes in markets through out Texas.

Pay: $35-45 hour depending on experience

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years of industry experience in project management, preferably related to design 

• Bachelors (required) and/or Master’s degree

• Creative project management skills, with a strong working knowledge of finish materials, electrical planning, plumbing, flooring applications, and construction detailing 

• Clear understanding of and ability to work with interior designer drawing sets and mood boards 

• Experience working on the initial project design with a team, including developing digital floor plans and 3D renderings

• Fluent in both written/spoken English

• Spanish as a second language is a plus

• Proficient in Excel

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate and document details with interior designer, construction manager, & general contractor 

• Set and meet tight deliverable schedules based on deadlines set by principal designer 

• Display knowledge of design principles and effectively communicates design concepts, layouts, practices, and procedures to designers & contractors

• Actively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.

• Collaborate on interiors projects, including programming client needs, sourcing items, tracking items, invoicing items, construction development, and documentation of receiving and storing items

• Develop planning concepts and generate program documents such as invoices, trade account information, etc. 

• Participate in the production planning of digital renderings, floor plans, elevations, and construction drawing sets

• Research and write specifications for all finish materials, lighting fixtures, codes, renovation permitting, safety requirements, etc. and input information into construction plans or installation plans

Junior Designer

JUNIOR DESIGNER

HHDC is looking for 2 Junior Interior Designers. We are seeking someone professional, organized and self-motivated Jr. Designer who has 1-2 years minimum of residential design experience and who can thrive in an intimate, but very fast-growing firm. Candidate must be good at multi-tasking, organized, energetic, eager to learn, cheerful, and also be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. The Junior Designer will contribute to the success of the firm by assisting with all aspects of design development, sourcing, meeting preparation, technical drawings, maintaining organized binders and sample library. Candidate should be able to work within existing systems and help create new systems for continued success. Must be adaptable and able to successfully function with lots of balls in the air!

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in software capable of 3d designs

  • Must be willing to learn to use Design Files, and learn quickly

  • Proficient in AutoCad, Sketchup, or other equivalent software – ability to develop cabinetry, floor plans, and elevations

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook- must be prompt and utilize strong communication skills when responding to emails

  • Proficient at navigating trade accounts online as well as in-store

  • Experience selecting and specifying lighting, furnishings, hardware, floor/window coverings, materials and finishes.

  • Experience with quotes, proposals, budgets, purchase orders and purchasing process 

  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organized

  • Ability to multi-task; meet deadlines and is eager to learn and grow with firm

  • Must be able to work along side a principal designer

  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Must have valid driver’s license and insurance with reliable vehicle

  • Have a positive, friendly, professional attitude and a good sense of humor

• Spanish as a second language is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently create full design concepts for projects based on Principal’s design vision

  • General research and all sourcing

  • Prepare for client presentations by creating mood boards, floor plans, drawings and elevations.

  • Follow up with vendors on lead times and quotes 

  • Organize and manage samples library

  • Research new products and materials

  • Type up and organize meeting notes, project status, deliverables, etc. in Basecamp

  • Maintain organized client binders

  • Read architectural plans and produce scaled sketches, drawings and room layouts.

• Collaborate on interiors projects, including programming client needs, sourcing items, tracking items, invoicing items, construction development, and documentation of receiving and storing items
